Big Girls Don't Cry
We all lose someone we love. Some losses are a harder than others. Some take your breath away and leave you gasping for air. Some losses rock your world because they are totally unexpected and others that are expected still shake you to your core. Some leave you numb...……..
You were the First
|Colin Milton February 22, 1944 - April 28, 2018|
You were the first man in my life
The first one I saw
The first one I kissed
The one I first held hands with
The one who I first snuggled
The first one I married
The first one to steal my heart
The one who hung the moon and then sat upon a pedestal that no one could replace
Taught me to be an independent woman
gave me skills that have served me well in life
Who taught me to work hard, reach for the stars
The man who never gave up, who fought so hard
The strongest man I know
The one I was proud to call father
I will miss you and love you every day of my life.
When I was young, my father would get out record albums and we would listen to music and dance around and sing. My and my fathers favorite song was Big Girls Don't Cry by the Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. On occasion when I was upset or crying my father would remind me that "Big Girls Don't Cry"
Big girls DO cry
